John purchased the property at 26 Alden Road in the late 60s. He and his wife Janet spent many happy years in the Heights, splitting their time there with their home in Cambridge, MA, and in later years, with their home in Carmel, CA.

Born in Providence, RI to mark B. and Hilda Spink on August 22nd, 1929. Carolyn was a graduate of Pawtucket RI schools and Emerson College in Boston. Her family lived in Greenville, RI and briefly in Washington DC during WW2.
