DESCRIPTION:Fun Run 2014\nJul 04th 7:00 am – 9:30 am\nPriscilla Beach Parking Lot\nFun Run Course MapThis July 4th marks the 6th consecutive year for the Nauset Heights Fun Run. \nRegistration for the Fun Run opens at 7:00am at the Priscilla Beach parking lot – the Start/Finish area. Participants are encouraged to download the registration form in advance and bring it with them. A voluntary contribution of $10 per individual is recommended. All proceeds are donated to charities. \nThis year there are two races\, including a short-distance course for kids 8 and under. The short-distance race begins at 8:15am and will take only 5 minutes. The longer\, 2.2 mile Walk/Run event starts promptly at 8:30am and is over by 9:30am. The fastest runners will complete the long course in under 12 minutes. Medallions will be awarded to each participant. We had a tremendous turnout with 128 participants ranging from ages 4 – 86. \nThe Fun Run is organized and sponsored by NausetHeights.org. A voluntary contribution of $10 per individual or $20 per family was recommended. All proceeds are donated to charities. \nThe Walk/Run event started at the Priscilla Beach parking lot and took participants on a scenic\, “back-roads” tour of Nauset Heights for approximately 2.2 miles\, finishing back at Priscilla Beach. The course was challenging with steep hills and tricky footing in some areas\, but the views were spectacular. The Fun Run is a great social activity that brings neighbors and friends together. Medallions were awarded to all participants at the finish. The overall male and female finishers with the fastest times were awarded the coveted Nauset Cup.
