Carol Ann Robinson of Orleans MA passed away peacefully on July 27, 2020 at the Pleasant Bay Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility in Brewster MA. After a long struggle with Alzheimer’s disease Carol passed at the age of 80 years.

Carol, who was born on April 28, 1940 in Everett, MA, was the only child of her loving parents Florence and Joseph Chaisson.  Carol was very proud of her Chaisson family heritage, and had many fond memories of growing up with her extended family in Lynn and Swampscott.

She was the loving wife of Paul A. Robinson of Norwell MA for 59 years. Carol leaves behind her son Keith Robinson and his wife Michelle Sinnott of Marshfield Ma, and her daughter Lisa Jeanne Locklin and her husband Ronald M. Locklin of Acton, MA. Carol was sadly pre-deceased by her youngest son Mark Robinson in March 2020. She also leaves behind five grandchildren, David P. Robinson of Quincy, MA, Nathan C. Robinson of Weymouth, MA, Allison R. Robinson of Brookline, MA, Matthew J. Locklin of Somerville, MA, and Benjamin S. Locklin of New York City, NY.

Carol graduated from Lynn English High School in 1957 and from the New England Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing in 1960 where she became a registered nurse.  She enjoyed her Nursing career, taking care of people and the camaraderie of her fellow nurses.

While living in Westwood, MA (prior to moving to Orleans, MA. in 2013) Carol was an active member of the First Parish Church of Westwood. She so loved the members of the church, at times taught Sunday School, sang in the choir, and became a church Deacon. Carol also became a member of the Chapter A PEO Sisterhood and later the PEO Chapter AQ in Orleans. She loved music, played the piano and was a longtime member of the Dedham Choral Society.

From 1970 to 1975, Carol moved with her family to Kwajalein Island in the Marshall Islands (in the South Pacific).  She enjoyed the travel and adventure and made many lifelong friends during these years. She enjoyed the many vacations in the Hawaiian Islands and the yearly trips to the US to visit family and friends.

What Carol enjoyed most was people.  She was always friendly and quick with a smile.  She was strongly connected to her college friends, friends from Westwood and work, friends from Kwajalein and Cape Cod, and enjoyed meeting people whenever she could.  But mostly, she enjoyed her family, particularly when she could spend time with her grandchildren, boogie boarding at the beach, clamming and lobstering, and even flounder fishing or just going for a ride in the boat.

Carol will be remembered for her kind and caring nature by all those she touched throughout her life.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the healthcare workers at Pleasant Bay Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their care and support of Carol.

Funeral arrangements are being made by McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home in Norwell, MA.  Memorial service details will be made at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations to the Alzheimer’s Association.
