Nauset Heights

James T. Roberts of East Orleans, devoted husband and father, on December 16, 2009 after a courageous battle with lung cancer.
Jim had a tremendous zest for life and lived it in a very robust manner. Whether it was driving his own Austin Healey racing car, flying his plane, or guiding his boat among the currents around the Cape, Jim truly enjoyed life. His quick wit and humorous outlook showed that he was always looking for the brighter side and could find humor in even the most mundane of human experiences. Dad could always brighten our day, no matter how bleak the outlook. He lived life large and always extended a welcome hand. He knew many friends and truly lived for improving his golf game. Jim loved taking care of his yard and could be seen many days riding his mower or digging in the yard. Jim was a master carpenter and architect.
Jim grew a very successful home building business and retired Vice President of Operations at Mediplex before moving to the Cape full time in the late 1980’s. We will miss his mischievous grin and his charming manner.
All who knew him are richer for the experience and he will be remembered as a fun-loving person who cared deeply for his family. He is survived by his wife, Lee, daughter, Deborah and son in law, Paul along with his sister Eleanor and brother, Richard.
