Information on the 2011 Fun Run
Nauset Heights Fun Run
The Nauset Heights Fun Run on July 4th is for residents of Nauset Heights and their guests. Since 2009 NausetHeights.org has been hosting this social event for all members of the community. People of all ages gather for a healthy activity which also showcases the beauty of "The Heights" and brings friends and neighbors together.
The walk/run event starts at the Priscilla Beach parking lot and takes participants on a scenic, "back-roads" tour of Nauset Heights for approximately 2.2 miles, finishing back at Priscilla Beach. The course is challenging with steep hills and tricky footing in some areas, but the views are spectacular.
The event is free. An optional donation helps raise money for a charity each year.
Colorful medallions are awarded to all participants at the finish. The overall male and female finishers with the fastest times are awarded the coveted Nauset Cup. The race is lead by the colorful Orleans Police motorcycle detail with flashing lights and spectators line the streets cheering.
