Fun Run 2010

2010 marked the second year for the July 4th Fun Run. We had a tremendous turnout with more than 100 participants, ranging in ages from 1 - 85. 

The Fun Run is organized and sponsored by NausetHeights.org. A voluntary contribution of $10 per individual or $20 per family was recommended. All proceeds were donated to charities in Haiti and will help those who suffered from the devastating earthquake in January.  

The Walk/Run event started at the Priscilla Beach parking lot and took participants on a scenic, "back-roads" tour of Nauset Heights for approximately 2.2 miles, finishing back at Priscilla Beach. The course was challenging with steep hills and tricky footing in some areas, but the views were spectacular. The Fun Run is a great social activity that brings neighbors and friends together. Medallions were awarded to all participants at the finish. The overall male and female finishers with the fastest times were awarded the coveted Nauset Cup. The race was lead by the colorful Orleans Police motorcycle detail with flashing lights.

All Nauset Heights residents, renters and guests were welcome.
